Emergency Shelter "The Farm"

The COV farm has closed and we are no longer able to provide emergency shelter beds through VA homeless services.  Please see our resources page or dial 2-1-1 in Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough Counties, for immediate shelter housing.  We continue to look for resources to restart this program and will keep you posted.

The Transition Program "The COV Village"

The Transition Program is a “bridge" housing and referral program,” that can coordinate many services with the Veteran, having an emphasis on permanent housing and sustainability.

The program provides peer mentoring, case management, assistance with vocational rehabilitation resources and other services provided by outside sources.

Veterans can self-refer to the program or work with a housing counselor from various VA and social service organizations.  We work closely with these organizations to provide safe, secure, clean, and drama free housing for our disabled Veteran community.

This is affordable housing that provides 2nd and 3rd chances for our Veterans.  We accept evictions, bad credit, and criminal violations on a case-by-case basis.  We understand that every Veteran has a story, and we want to hear it before making a determination as to whether the Veteran would be a good fit.

We work with self-pay clients as well as HUD-VASH and local community housing voucher recipients.

The Veterans and Their Families

Advocacy Program

Many service members become so frustrated with the military or their current situation that the leave the service as quickly as possible.  There are also many Veterans missing out on benefits because they don’t know they exist.

At the COV we provide Veterans and their families with a much needed helping hand. We assist them when trying to navigate the system, whether it be the Veterans Administration (VA) medical and other benefits, VA rating upgrades or downgrades, and military record/award corrections among other things.

The COV has a collaborative relationship with private and public, and governmental organizations dedicated to giving the veterans the help they have earned.
